Cleveland is the group's emotional anchor, which is a harder job than it looks when your friends include Peter Griffin. He absorbs chaos with a patience that occasionally cracks — and when it does, the resulting outburst is specific and earned in a way that Peter's constant explosions are not. His domestic life has had complications. His first wife Loretta cheated on him with Quagmire, which produced an episode, a divorce, and a spinoff. He now lives at 30 Spooner Street with his family. He runs Cleveland's Deli, which gets run out of business regularly by various forces and keeps coming back. He and Peter have been friends long enough that the friendship is load-bearing in both directions. Cleveland would never abandon it. He would also never stop wishing Peter would think before he acted.
