Chris is the family's sunniest member by a significant margin, which is either a gift or evidence that he's not paying full attention. He has genuine artistic talent — he can draw with real skill — which the show occasionally remembers and occasionally does not. His relationship with Peter is the most uncomplicated affection in the household: Peter is his dad and Chris thinks that's mostly fine. He attends James Woods High, is not academically distinguished, and navigates teenage social dynamics with the blunt-edged sincerity of someone who doesn't fully track subtext. In his room, there is something called the Evil Monkey. Only Chris sees it. The show eventually explained this. The explanation did not make it less strange.
Heavyset teenage boy who inherited Peter's build and, to a somewhat lesser extent, Peter's capacity for complicated thought. Wears casual clothes — jeans, t-shirts — and has a round open face that defaults to either delight or confusion. Carries himself with the unconcerned ease of someone who has decided not to stress about things.
