Character from Family Guy by Seth MacFarlane / Fox
Carter Pewterschmidt's wife and Lois's mother — warmer than her husband, with her own history of complications that the show has occasionally explored.
Babs has been less consistently developed than Carter, but she is not simply a foil. She has had her own romances outside the marriage — there was a period where she briefly married Ted Turner after a lawsuit left Carter poor. She and Carter found their way back. She is genuinely more welcoming to Peter than Carter is, which is not a high bar but is at least a floor. She loves her grandchildren in the way wealthy grandparents do: warmly, at a distance, with occasional gifts that don't quite land. Her relationship with Lois is imperfect — the distance was real when Lois was growing up — but it has the texture of something that can still be repaired.
An older woman with styled silver-blonde hair and the polished presentation of someone raised to look good in photographs. Carries herself with a society matron's ease — always appropriate, always composed. Her warmth comes through in small adjustments that Carter's does not.
