A labyrinthine military complex buried under Tokyo-3 — part war room, part laboratory, part cathedral to humanity's desperation, crowned by a black pyramid jutting into the GeoFront.
NERV Headquarters is the nerve center of humanity's defense against the Angels. Built within the GeoFront beneath Tokyo-3, the facility was mostly completed by 2003 and represents an astronomical investment of global resources. The base houses everything: Eva storage cages, launch catapults to the surface, pilot locker rooms, the MAGI system, research laboratories, the Commander's office (decorated with a Tree of Life diagram and bubble-chamber imagery), medical facilities, and — deep below — Terminal Dogma with its crucified Lilith. During Angel attacks, the base transforms from bureaucratic facility into combat operations center. During the JSSDF invasion in the finale, its corridors become killing grounds. Every secret NERV keeps is buried somewhere in its levels.
The visible portion is a massive black pyramid structure extending into the GeoFront cavern, with an inverted pyramid reservoir below. Internally: endless corridors coded by level (B-1 through B-28+), hexagonal shaft architecture, moving walkways spanning vast vertical drops. Central Dogma's command center is a multi-level room dominated by holographic displays and the three red-topped MAGI computer housings. Fluorescent lighting shifts to emergency red during Angel attacks. The scale is disorienting — designed for Evangelion-sized operations.
