A colossal subterranean cavern beneath Tokyo-3 — publicly explained as a natural formation, secretly the Black Moon that carried Lilith to Earth billions of years ago.
The GeoFront is publicly presented as a massive natural underground cavity ideal for construction, but it is actually the Black Moon — an extraterrestrial vessel that carried the Seed of Life Lilith to Earth during the First Impact billions of years ago. The entire city of Tokyo-3 and NERV Headquarters were built in Hakone specifically because the GeoFront was here. An identical GeoFront (the White Moon of Adam) existed in Antarctica and was designated GF-01 in classified UN files. The Ramiel Angel was the first to physically penetrate the GeoFront with its drill. After the N2 bombardment during the JSSDF invasion, the GeoFront was exposed to the open sky for the first time.
Spherical underground cavity of enormous scale, with an interior ceiling that appears as an inverted landscape — trees and structures grow 'downward' from the inner surface. Natural light filters through 18 reinforced windows in the armor above. The black pyramid of NERV HQ stands at the center. Surrounding terrain includes forests, lakes, and infrastructure. The scale makes it feel like a world turned inside out.
