NERV's primary command section — the nerve center where bridge operators monitor Angels, direct Evas, and pretend they have any control over what happens next.
Central Dogma is the codename for NERV HQ's primary operations section, centered around the Command Center on level B-20. This is where Angel battles are coordinated: Maya, Hyuga, and Aoba monitor pilot vitals and Eva status from their stations while Misato calls tactical decisions and Gendo watches from above with his hands clasped. The MAGI system processes combat data in real-time. A backup command center exists several levels below. The name comes from the central dogma of molecular biology — DNA to RNA to proteins — reflecting NERV's self-image as an organization that transforms raw data into action. During the Ireul incursion, Central Dogma itself became the battlefield.
A massive multi-level room dominated by tiered operator stations and a wall of holographic tactical displays. The three MAGI supercomputers are housed here — red-topped white rectangular prisms that can be hydraulically raised for maintenance. Emergency lighting bathes everything in red during combat. The Commander's platform overlooks the bridge from above. The room extends vertically through multiple levels of the hexagonal shaft structure.
