Beneath its refined parlors, Praetor Rykard feeds in the belly of the God-Devouring Serpent. The Manor is a paradox of civility and horror. Its halls are appointed with fine carpets, portraits, candelabras — the aesthetic of landed nobility maintained with meticulous care while its inhabitants plot murders and feed their victims to a serpent god below. Lady Tanith presides with aristocratic grace, offering contracts to kill other Tarnished as if arranging dinner invitations. The recusants who serve here have rejected the Erdtree's grace entirely, choosing the serpent's path: devour the gods themselves. Deep below the parlor floors, past lava channels and iron maidens, Rykard writhes inside the serpent — his face protruding from its skull, speaking with articulate malice about his grand vision of consuming everything divine.
