The second underground Eternal City, filled with Silver Tears that mimic living forms and illuminated by false stars. Quieter than Nokron, more melancholy — a city that died waiting. Nokstella mirrors Nokron in architecture but differs in temperament. Where Nokron feels defiant — punished for rebellion — Nokstella feels resigned. The Silver Tears here are more numerous and more varied, some taking the forms of scholars, some of soldiers, some of nothing recognizable, as if the mimicry has degraded over millennia of repetition. The false stars overhead are dimmer, their light tinged with blue. The streets are wide and empty in a way that suggests not destruction but departure — the inhabitants left, or were taken, and the Silver Tears are all that remains, endlessly copying forms that no longer exist. Ranni's quest passes through here, the Miniature Ranni doll finally speaking in the depths, revealing pieces of a plan centuries in the making.
