The Volcano Manor sits impossibly among the devastation — a mansion of dark wood and velvet, its inhabitants polite, refined, and utterly devoted to feeding Tarnished to the God-Devouring Serpent below. Rykard chose to be consumed by the serpent so that he might consume everything else. His ambition festers in the mountain's belly, growing, always growing. The eruptions are not geological — they are digestive.
