A peaceful settlement of living jars nestled in the cliffs of the Altus Plateau. The jars tend flowers and live simply, unaware that their bodies are made from the remains of warriors.
A peaceful settlement of living jars nestled in the cliffs of the Altus Plateau. The jars tend flowers and live simply, unaware that their bodies are made from the remains of warriors. Jarburg is the quietest place in the Lands Between. Accessible by jumping down a series of cliff ledges — a descent that feels like leaving the war behind — the village sits on a series of terraces overlooking the plateau below. Living jars of various sizes tend flower beds, waddle along paths, and exist in a state of contentment that nothing else in this world achieves. Jar-Bairn, the smallest jar, worries about the village's future and speaks with a child's earnestness about becoming a great warrior. Alexander's tales of combat inspire the little jars to dream of glory they're not built for. Diallos eventually arrives here, seeking purpose after a life of aristocratic failure, and finds it defending the jars — dying for something small and good in a world obsessed with cosmic power. Jarburg is FromSoft's reminder that gentleness exists, even here.
