Massive towers scattered across the Lands Between, each connected to a demigod's Great Rune. Only by ascending these towers can a Tarnished activate the power of a recovered Great Rune. The Divine Towers are monuments of staggering scale — visible from miles away, their bridges extending across chasms that swallow clouds. Each tower houses a Two Fingers — the grotesque, ancient appendages that serve as intermediaries between the Greater Will and the mortal world. The Two Fingers sit motionless atop each tower, barely alive, barely conscious, waiting for communication from a god that responds on timescales measured in civilizations. When a Tarnished brings a Great Rune to the corresponding tower, the rune activates — its power made real, its blessing available. The towers themselves predate the demigods, predate perhaps even the Erdtree. They are infrastructure for a system of divine governance that no one fully understands anymore.
