Summoning items that call forth the spirits of defeated warriors and creatures to fight alongside the Tarnished. The Mimic Tear — a spirit that copies your exact form — is the most iconic and unsettling. Spirit Ashes are ghosts bound to objects — gravestones of the dead, reduced to portable summons. The Spirit Calling Bell, given by Ranni at the Church of Elleh, enables the Tarnished to ring these spirits into temporary existence at rebirth monuments scattered throughout the world. The ashes range from lone wolves to entire squads of soldiers, from jellyfish to legendary warriors. But the Mimic Tear stands apart — found in Nokron, it copies the Tarnished's exact equipment, spells, and appearance, creating a doppelganger that fights with your own moveset. The implication is profoundly uncomfortable: you are summoning a copy of yourself, expendable, disposable, a version of you that exists only to die so the real you survives. The Mimic Tear is the Lands Between's most honest mirror.
