A colossal sword made from dozens of weapons melted and grafted together. Godrick's philosophy in weapon form — if you cannot be great, graft greatness onto yourself by consuming others.
A colossal sword made from dozens of weapons melted and grafted together. Godrick's philosophy in weapon form — if you cannot be great, graft greatness onto yourself by consuming others. The blade is a grotesquerie of forging — individual swords, axes, and spears are visible in its mass, fused together in a heap of steel that resembles a weapon the way a tumor resembles flesh. Its weapon art, Oath of Vengeance, raises all attributes temporarily, a desperate surge of stolen power. The sword embodies everything Godrick is: the weakest demigod, the runt of the golden lineage, compensating for his inadequacy by absorbing the strength of others. He grafts limbs to his body; his sword grafts weapons to its blade. Neither approach makes him worthy. But the sword is effective — brutally, bluntly effective — which is perhaps the cruelest commentary of all. You don't need to be great to destroy things. You just need to be big enough.
