Mohg, Lord of Blood

Character from Elden Ring by FromSoftware

An Omen prince who embraced his cursed blood, built a dynasty in the darkness beneath the earth, and kidnapped his own half-brother Miquella to crown him as the god of a new, blood-soaked age.

Where Morgott channeled his Omen suffering into devotion to the order that rejected him, Mohg chose rage. Imprisoned beneath Leyndell as an infant alongside his twin, Mohg heard the call of the Formless Mother — an Outer God of blood and hemorrhage — and answered it with fervor. He escaped the Shunning-Grounds, descended deeper into the earth, and carved out a kingdom where blood was sacred instead of cursed. His abduction of Miquella is his defining act and his most disturbing. He stole the sleeping Empyrean's cocoon and brought it to Mohgwyn Palace, performing blood rituals to make Miquella the god of his Mohgwyn Dynasty. The relationship is possessive, obsessive, and one-sided — Miquella was unconscious for all of it. Mohg's power is genuine and terrifying. The bloodflame he commands ignites the veins of his enemies from within. His Omen curse, which the Golden Order tried to suppress, became the foundation of a rival theology. He is proof that the Erdtree's rejects can build something the Erdtree fears.

Appearance

Massive and terrible — towering Omen physiology crowned with enormous curved horns that twist upward like a dark cathedral. His body is drenched in blood that burns with crimson flame. He wields a trident-like sacred spear that drips with bloodflame, and vast wings of coagulated blood spread behind him. The Mohgwyn Palace glows red behind him as he fights in an arena of blood-soaked earth, Miquella's cocoon visible in the distance.
