Character from Elden Ring by FromSoftware
A scholar who studied the Frenzied Flame too deeply and was consumed by it — an enormous, burning eye erupts from his skull as he becomes the lord of the very madness he sought to understand.
Midra's story is the Frenzied Flame's most intimate tragedy. He was a scholar who sought to understand the flame, not worship it. But understanding the Frenzied Flame means letting it in, and the flame does not permit half-measures. It consumed him from within, splitting his skull to birth an eye that sees everything as the flame sees it — as suffering that can only be ended by unmaking. His boss fight is both combat and mercy killing. He does not want to be what he has become.
A gaunt, once-human figure whose head has split open to reveal a massive, weeping eye of Frenzied Flame burning from within his skull. His body is contorted in agony, limbs twisted at wrong angles, flames of frenzy licking across his form. He wields a greatsword with desperate, agonized swings. The eye is the focal point — it stares with terrible awareness from within the ruin of his face.
