Margit, the Fell Omen

Character from Elden Ring by FromSoftware

The Tarnished's first true wall — a disguised Morgott who bars the path to Stormveil Castle, testing whether the graceless warriors returning to the Lands Between deserve to proceed.

Margit is the gatekeeper — the boss that teaches most players what Elden Ring actually is. He is fast, aggressive, has delayed attacks that punish panic-rolling, and conjures spectral weapons mid-combo. What players don't realize until much later is that Margit is Morgott in disguise, the Omen King of Leyndell slumming it at Stormveil's gate to personally test every Tarnished who approaches. That the last king of the capital spends his time as an anonymous checkpoint boss says everything about his character.

Appearance

A hulking, robed Omen figure wielding a twisted staff and conjuring golden spectral daggers and hammers from thin air. His horned silhouette against the fog of Stormveil's approach is one of the game's most iconic images. Moves with deceptive speed for his size, mixing heavy staff strikes with quick thrown daggers.
