Character from Elden Ring by FromSoftware
The weakest scion of the golden lineage, who butchered countless warriors and stitched their limbs onto his own body in a pathetic, grotesque bid for power he was never born to wield.
Godrick is what happens when a mediocre man inherits a legacy of gods. Every other demigod earned their Great Rune through strength, cunning, or sacrifice. Godrick earned his through proximity and cowardice — he fled the capital during the Shattering, hiding in a transport and later begging for mercy from Malenia. The grafting is his answer to inadequacy. If he cannot be born powerful, he will steal power from others — literally cutting the arms from Tarnished and soldiers and sewing them onto himself. The result is obscene: a shambling mound of stolen limbs that still somehow believes itself royalty. His speech is grandiose and delusional, invoking his golden lineage in the same breath that he grafts a screaming dragon onto his arm. He calls himself lord of all that is golden while ruling a crumbling castle staffed by soldiers who serve him out of fear. He is the Shattering's punchline — and he is too proud to know it.
A lurching horror of mismatched anatomy — dozens of arms, legs, and hands grafted onto a central body that has long since lost its original shape. Golden armor strains over the swollen mass. His face, still recognizably human, wears an expression of perpetual indignation. In his second phase, he hacks off his own left arm and grafts a living dragon's head onto the stump, screaming about bearing witness to true power.
