Character from Elden Ring by FromSoftware
A noble dragon who descended into Godwyn's deathbed to fight the death blight consuming him — and failed, becoming infected herself, now a lichdragon crackling with red-black lightning in the Deeproot Depths.
Fortissax's story is one of noble failure. She was friend to Godwyn the Golden in life, and when the Night of the Black Knives left him in a state of living death — soul killed, body persisting — she entered his deathbed to battle the death blight from within. She lost. The corruption consumed her, transforming her natural lightning into something necrotic and wrong. She guards Godwyn's body still, even as it corrupts her further. She cannot save him. She cannot leave. She is loyalty beyond reason.
A great dragon whose golden scales are corrupted with veins of black death blight. Red-black lightning arcs across her body instead of the natural gold lightning of her kind. She is found deep underground in the Deeproot Depths, wrapped around the roots of the Erdtree near Godwyn's deformed corpse. Her movements are agonized, fighting through corruption.
