Alexander, Iron Fist

Character from Elden Ring by FromSoftware

A living warrior jar stuffed with the compacted remains of fallen champions — boisterous, honor-obsessed, and determined to become the mightiest jar warrior by filling himself with the strongest dead.

Alexander is the game's purest soul in the most macabre possible package. He is a pot full of corpses who wants to be the strongest pot full of corpses, and he pursues this goal with such guileless enthusiasm that you forget the body horror entirely. He appears stuck in the ground in Limgrave, asking for help. He shows up at the Radahn Festival, charging into battle against a demigod with no hesitation. He travels to Mt. Gelmir to temper his body in magma. Every step of his journey is about becoming stronger — not for conquest, but because strength is what a warrior jar is for. His final request, at the mountaintop colosseum, is for you to fight him to the death. He wants to die at the hands of the strongest warrior he knows, so that his remains can be passed to the next jar — continuing the cycle. His innards, when he shatters, become a talisman. He would be proud.

Appearance

A large ceramic pot with stubby arms, stubby legs, and a cheerful voice. His body is a traditional warrior jar — a vessel filled with the mingled remains of dead warriors, their collective strength animating the clay. Cracks run across his surface from battles survived, patched with whatever was available. He is comically round, absurdly brave, and speaks with more dignity than most knights manage.
