Summers

Location from EarthBound by Shigesato Itoi / Nintendo

A glamorous seaside resort town with outrageously expensive shops, a cultural museum, and the Stoic Club — EarthBound's French Riviera parody where Poo joins the party.

Summers is in the FoggyLand region and is the most expensive town in the game — hotel stays, food, and equipment all cost a fortune. The party arrives when the Sky Runner crashes into the beach. Pokey apparently spent lavishly here before moving on. The Stoic Club houses the Magic Cake that triggers Poo's arrival from Dalaam. The Scaraba Cultural Museum contains hieroglyphs that Poo reads to reveal the Pyramid's secrets. The small port town of Toto to the east provides a boat to Scaraba. Summers is a vacation town in a game about saving the world, and the dissonance is intentional. Crazed Signs and Mad Taxis attack you on the boardwalk. The beach is lovely. The museum holds the key to the next continent. Everything is too expensive.

Appearance

Palm-tree-lined streets. A crowded beach with blue lagoon water. Expensive hotels and restaurants. The architecture recalls the French Riviera with orange-roofed houses. The Stoic Club is exclusive. The museum has hieroglyphs that Poo can read.
