The big city — EarthBound's New York parody where skyscrapers hide corrupt politicians, a neon nightmare dimension lurks behind a cafe, and a dinosaur museum curator is stalking a singer.
Fourside is the fourth city and the most urban location in Eagleland. It's home to Monotoli's corrupt administration, the Topolla Theater where Venus performs, the Dinosaur Museum where Mr. Spoon obsesses over Venus, Jackie's Cafe which hides the entrance to Moonside, and the Department Store where Paula gets kidnapped a second time by the Department Store Spook. The Runaway Five are trapped in debt here too, at the Topolla Theater. A diamond from the Gold Mine pays them off. The Monotoli Building is the seat of power, protected by police who swore loyalty to the mayor above all citizens. Pokey and his father work here as consultants. The city's nickname is 'The Big Banana' — a parody of 'The Big Apple.' Everything about Fourside is bigger, louder, and more corrupt than anywhere else in Eagleland.
Tall buildings, busy streets, a bridge that recalls Brooklyn. The Monotoli Building dominates the skyline like a parody Empire State Building. The Topolla Theater glows with stage lights. Jackie's Cafe hunches in an alley, hiding the door to Moonside.
