The Dusty Dunes Desert lies between Threed and Fourside, and crossing it is an ordeal. The party arrives by bus but gets stuck in traffic. Straying from the road causes sunstroke. The Gold Mine contains Guardian Diggers and yields a diamond that pays off the Runaway Five's second debt. Monkeys in caves teach Ness PSI Teleport. A black sesame seed on one side of the desert asks you to find a white sesame seed on the other side — they're in love. Despite localization efforts to remove drug references, a large billboard reading 'DRUGS' remains plainly visible.
Endless sand in every direction. A long road with a traffic jam. A drugstore and mining shack to the west. Monkey caves. The Slot Machine Brothers operate by the roadside. The sun beats down relentlessly.
