Dr. Andonuts's prototype flying machine that Jeff pilots across a continent, crashes into a graveyard, gets repaired by grateful citizens, and finally disintegrates on a beach — the most abused aircraft in JRPG history.
The Sky Runner is Dr. Andonuts's flying machine, and it has a rough life. Jeff first pilots it alone from Winters to Threed, crash-landing in the graveyard (which helpfully breaks Ness and Paula out of their underground prison). The citizens of Threed repair it out of gratitude. Jeff then flies the party back to Winters so Dr. Andonuts can reprogram it for Summers. On this second flight, the Sky Runner crashes into the Summers beach and is completely destroyed. It served its purpose. Two flights, two crashes, zero smooth landings. Its wreckage appears as a museum exhibit in Mother 3.
A solid grey, rounded flying craft resembling a stereotypical UFO. Has an antenna, portholes, and two landing gear legs. Looks like it was built by a genius who didn't think about landing.
