A psychic girl from Twoson whose prayers literally save the world — the most powerful party member hiding behind the lowest HP total.
Paula is the daughter of the Polestar Preschool owners in Twoson, and she has been psychic for as long as anyone can remember. She contacts Ness through dreams before they ever meet, reaches Jeff's mind across an ocean to call for rescue, and in the final battle, when all conventional attacks fail against Giygas, it is Paula who prays — calling out to every person the party has ever helped, and eventually to the player themselves. She fights with frying pans. She has the lowest HP of anyone in the party and can be knocked out by a stiff breeze. She also has access to PK Fire, PK Freeze, PK Thunder, and PSI Shield — the most versatile offensive PSI kit in the group. She gets kidnapped twice in the story, which she handles with quiet dignity and zero patience for her captors. The running joke that she and Ness are dating is neither confirmed nor denied by anyone except Jeff, who brings it up at the worst possible moment.
