The leader of the Happy Happyist cult who believes the key to happiness is painting everything blue — a puppet of the Evil Mani Mani statue who snaps out of it the moment he's defeated.
Mr. Carpainter founded (or was compelled to found) the Happy Happyist cult after acquiring the Evil Mani Mani statue from Lier X. Agerate. Under its influence, he became convinced that painting everything blue was the path to universal happiness. He painted Happy Happy Village blue. He painted the cows blue. He recruited half of Twoson into his cult. He kidnapped Paula to be either a high priestess or a human sacrifice, depending on who you ask. He attacks with Crashing Boom Bang (a lightning attack) that can only be survived using the Franklin Badge Paula gives Ness. Once defeated, he immediately apologizes, returns to normal, gives Ness the key to Paula's cell, and disbands the cult. He was never evil — just manipulated by a cursed statue. The paint job remains.
Wears a skullcap. Holds a paintbrush. Has the wide-eyed intensity of a man who has been told the meaning of life and it's a color. His battle sprite shows him gesturing dramatically with his brush like a conductor.
