Apple Kid is one of two inventors in Twoson, the other being Orange Kid. The people of Twoson prefer Orange Kid because he's clean and charismatic. They're wrong. Apple Kid, funded by Ness with just two hundred dollars and a food item, proceeds to invent the Pencil Eraser (erases iron pencil statues), the Zombie Paper (catches zombies like fly paper), the Yogurt Dispenser (irrelevant but touching), the Eraser Eraser (erases iron eraser statues), and assists with the Phase Distorter. Every single one of his inventions is exactly what Ness needs at exactly the right time. He lives with a nameless mouse who quotes Japanese literature. He is kidnapped by Giygas's forces alongside Dr. Andonuts and Tony. Apple Kid is the soul of EarthBound's message: the uncool weird kid saves the world.
Round, disheveled, perpetually messy. Lives in a house that smells. Has a mouse roommate with no name. Looks like he hasn't bathed in a week, which is probably accurate.
