Location from Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman
A crawler's private customizable safe room — purchasable from the third floor onward, expandable and upgradeable, where safe room rules protect against violence.
A Personal Space is a private dimensional pocket attached to safe rooms throughout the dungeon. Purchasable starting on the third floor for around fifty thousand gold, these spaces function as customizable home bases where safe room rules apply — no violence, no theft. Crawlers can upgrade their spaces with crafting studios, training rooms, kitchens, beds, and social screens. Spaces start at level one and can be combined with party members' spaces by paying five thousand gold per union, scaling up to level five with manager rooms and second floors. The owner controls a whitelist determining who may enter. Environmental upgrades travel with the crawler between floors while table upgrades stay fixed. If a party member dies, their purchased upgrades vanish. Tier-two upgrades become available on the sixth floor. Shrines automatically appear within personal spaces. The space serves as the primary venue for opening loot boxes, distributing stat points, resting, and crafting between dangerous excursions.
When first entered, the space resembles an empty airplane hangar with bare walls and high ceilings. As upgraded, it fills with crafting stations, beds, kitchens, training rooms, shrines, and personalized furnishings. The team leader configures the layout of entrances, restrooms, and common areas. Combined spaces can form multi-level communal halls shared between party members.
