Scolopendra's Lair

Location from Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman

The final floor of the dungeon — Scolopendra's domain at the volcano's base, a tourist destination for the uber-wealthy with only one stairwell exit to freedom.

Scolopendra's Lair is the eighteenth and final floor of the World Dungeon, the endpoint of the entire crawl. It contains only one stairwell, which presumably opens only upon defeating Scolopendra — the monstrous entity whose nine-tier attack created the Volcano Storyline mythology across the lower floors. The floor doubles as a tourist destination for the galaxy's ultra-wealthy, who visit to witness the final showdown. It may also contain illegal NPC brothels. The Scolopendra Club operates on this level. As the Nothing begins leaking into the floor and Scolopendra awakens, the System AI offers occupants a single escape route — a mirror leading back to the sixteenth floor, forcing survivors to trek through the seventeenth floor's death maze. Early seasons of Dungeon Crawler World featured a Scolopendra's Nymph as the final boss.

Appearance

The deepest level of the dungeon, located at the very base of the volcanic structure. The lair contains the Scolopendra Club and the domain of the ancient entity Scolopendra herself. A single stairwell represents the only way out — presumably accessible only after defeating the final boss.
