Item from Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman
A standard dungeon-issued food item with minor stat effects — one of many consumables that keep crawlers alive between the dungeon's brutal encounters.
Crawler Biscuits are consumable food items distributed through safe rooms, loot boxes, and dungeon vendors. In a world where crawlers routinely face starvation between encounters, food items serve both nutritional and mechanical purposes. Previous Borant-hosted dungeons featured inventory systems where food could expire, causing thousands of crawlers to starve to death — the current season's more generous food supply reflects lessons learned from that disaster. Safe rooms often provide food through staffed restaurants or automated dispensers offering experience cookies, stat-boosting candies, and basic sustenance. Food items range from complimentary safe room meals to crafted dishes with significant buff effects. The Crawler Biscuit represents the baseline sustenance keeping crawlers functional between the dungeon's lethal encounters.
A simple, dense biscuit that looks unappetizing but provides sustenance. Compact enough to fit in inventory without taking much space. The texture is dry and crumbly but the effect is immediate.
