Celestial Box

Item from Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman

The rarest tier of loot box in the dungeon — only two thousand one hundred forty-five have ever been awarded across all seasons of Dungeon Crawler World.

Celestial Boxes represent the absolute pinnacle of the dungeon's reward system — the highest of six loot box tiers. In the entire history of Dungeon Crawler World across all production companies and seasons, only two thousand one hundred forty-five Celestial Boxes of any kind have ever been awarded. No crawler has received more than four, and no more than eighteen have been distributed in a single season. The host company pays taxes to the Syndicate based on loot box tier, making Celestial Boxes extraordinarily expensive for the production company. When the System AI attempted to distribute eighty-three Celestial Boxes to crawlers after the Fools Who Broke the Glass quest, Borant used its once-per-season veto to cancel them because the entire Borant System would never have financially recovered from the tax burden. The AI responded by distributing the Cuck Aquaman achievement instead, which was almost as costly. Celestial Boxes contain game-changing items that can fundamentally alter a crawler's capabilities.

Appearance

The most visually impressive of all loot boxes, radiating an unmistakable celestial glow. When opened, it produces items of extraordinary power that can reshape a crawler's entire build and trajectory through the dungeon.
