Sister Ines Quiteria

Character from Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman

A Brazilian nun transformed into a bipedal Havana Brown cat — a Poet Laureate who charms with charisma magic and faces Donut's territorial wrath for the crime of being another cat girl.

Sister Ines maintains religious conviction and moral principles in a place that treats both as building materials for irony. She defuses tensions diplomatically — 'Today is a new day. We don't worry about yesterday because we can't change the past' — with the serenity of someone whose faith has been tested by being turned into a cat and found sufficient. Her Poet Laureate class as a Word Weaver gives her charisma-based magic that charms others into protective behavior, though victims forget the manipulation if discovered. At level forty-seven she'd defeated multiple bosses, making her one of the more effective crawlers despite her peaceful demeanor. Donut's reaction to another cat-form crawler is immediate and hostile — territorial in the way only a cat who considers herself the only cat that matters can be. Sister Ines defuses it with 'I did not choose what I looked like,' which is both true and perfectly calibrated to Donut's specific insecurity. She travels with Anton and Paz Lo as core companions.

Appearance

A Cat Girl of the Havana Brown breed — bipedal feline with dark coffee-colored fur, rounded ears, whiskers, and luminous green eyes. Humanoid form with curves, paws with opposable thumbs. Wears a flowing cloak and arm bracers, dressed minimally. The visual combination of 'nun' and 'anime cat girl' is exactly as uncomfortable as the dungeon intended.
