Maxim & Dmitri Popov

Character from Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman

Russian twin brothers fused into a single dungeon entity — Bogatyr-class warriors who share a body, a combat style, and presumably a lot of arguments about personal space.

The Popov Brothers are what happens when the dungeon's species modification system encounters twins and decides to get creative. Counted as separate crawlers inside the dungeon despite their merged state, they fight as Bogatyr-class warriors — a Russian-flavored heavy combat class that suits their approach to problem-solving: apply force until the problem stops. Their dynamic is the buddy-cop comedy the dungeon accidentally wrote — two personalities sharing a body, coordinating combat, and presumably disagreeing about everything from tactics to which direction to walk. They're effective fighters whose merged state gives them unique combat synergies that single-bodied crawlers can't replicate. They're reliable allies within the crawler coalition and their situation serves as one of the dungeon's many reminders that the system's sense of humor is alien in every sense of the word.

Appearance

Human/Nodling hybrid — two brothers who the dungeon counts as separate crawlers despite their merged condition. Bogatyr warriors with the heavy, functional build the class demands. The specifics of how two people share one hybrid body are left to the imagination, and that's probably for the best.
