Character from Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman
A Kua-Tin PR administrator who replaced Zev and treated crawlers like livestock — cancelled Carl's TV appearance to broker a better deal, then got eaten by one of Lucia's dogs.
Mukta opens with 'You seem to be under the impression that you have a say in this, crawler' — which is either the worst customer service approach in the galaxy or an honest description of the power dynamic. Unlike Zev, Mukta treats clients as revenue streams rather than people, closes chat channels to prevent direct communication, and avoids personal dungeon visits. Mukta replaced Zev after her political re-education and immediately demonstrated why Zev was better at the job: cancelled Carl's scheduled TV appearance to broker a more lucrative deal elsewhere, threatened escalation when Carl objected, then granted him freedom to misbehave only because the sponsors who bought his appearance also bought his compliance. 'They have paid for your appearance. Nothing else' is Mukta's philosophy of crawler management: you're a product, products don't talk back, and any autonomy you experience is a purchased feature. Mukta was reportedly consumed by one of Lucia Mar's dogs in book seven, which is a more fitting end than most characters get.
A Kua-Tin Communications Department administrator — aquatic alien features consistent with the species. Less is known about Mukta's appearance than about Mukta's attitude, which entered every room first.
