Character from Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman
An MMA fighter and doctor who survived the first night through competence and died the second through bad luck — the Meadow Lark party's most capable member and its first real loss.
Dr. Gracie was the person you'd want next to you in the apocalypse: a doctor who could set your bone and then fight the thing that broke it. She was an original member of the Meadow Lark party, working the night shift at the elder care facility when the dungeon formed beneath their feet. After the initial casualties from the Ball of Swine encounter, she led surviving first responders to find accessible escape routes. Her dual expertise in medicine and MMA gave her a survival toolkit that should have lasted — would have lasted if the dungeon were fair. She and the others were hunted down and killed one by one by an unknown mob. Her death is notable for its anonymity: no dramatic last stand, no heroic sacrifice, just a competent person picked off by something with more hit points. The dungeon doesn't care about your qualifications.
Built like someone who trains both in a ring and a hospital — the combination of a fighter's conditioning and a medical professional's posture. Worked the night shift at the elder care facility, so probably looked tired before the dungeon made everyone look tired.
