Eva Sigrid

Character from Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman

An economics professor turned four-armed snake woman assassin — ruthless, ambitious, and willing to kill every friend she ever had to climb one rung higher.

Eva kills to advance. That's her personality in four words, and the dungeon provides the context that makes it terrifying. She was Katia's colleague and friend before the crawl — an economics professor who presumably understood game theory and decided the optimal strategy was eliminating every other player. She calls Katia 'useless' and mocks her failed relationships with the specific cruelty of someone who knows exactly where the emotional wounds are. She abandons allies when circumstances threaten her position — self-preservation as moral philosophy. She served as Hekla's right-hand woman until Hekla's death, then assumed leadership of Brynhild's Daughters because the vacancy was there and Eva was already stepping over the body. Her Nimblefoot Enforcer class and fifty-plus Player Killer Skulls make her one of the most dangerous crawlers in the dungeon. Her rivalry with Katia ends at the Butcher's Masquerade, which is fitting — their friendship died in the dungeon long before either of them did.

Appearance

A green, opalescent woman with four arms and a cobra-like head. Five feet tall with scaled legs, wearing shiny green leather armor resembling a tracksuit. Carries dual scabbards in an X-formation across her back. Half Nagini, half Orc, wielding the Fangs of the Green Sultan. Lost one of her four hands when Hekla accidentally injured her. Over fifty Player Killer Skulls by late books.
