Character from Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman
A former ursine child transformed into a crowned allosaurus city boss — centuries of helpless rage made manifest as a dinosaur wearing a feather boa who just wants her mom back.
Big Tina's arc is the dungeon's most heartbreaking joke: a meek child given centuries to grow angry and the body of an allosaurus to express it in. 'That spark of helpless, impotent rage has done nothing but grow,' except now the rage isn't impotent anymore — it's a level 80 city boss with a charm spell called The Recital that makes people happy and want to participate in her performance. She displays particular violence toward ursines — her former species — which is the kind of self-directed trauma that a therapist would have a field day with if the therapist weren't also being charmed into a musical number. Despite her violent exterior, she retains emotional depth: her true desire is reuniting with her mother Kiwi, not destruction. The Royal Court eventually recruits her for the talent show at the Butcher's Masquerade, which is either genius or insanity. She's a dinosaur who wants to be loved, wearing a crown because someone told her she deserved one, and destroying everything that reminds her of what she used to be.
An allosaurus with a crown, a feather boa, and a wand magically grafted to her body. Originally a meek ursine child before centuries of transformation. The crown sits on a predator's skull with the absurd dignity of something that refuses to acknowledge the contradiction between 'apex dinosaur' and 'accessories.'
