Location from Dragon Ball by Akira Toriyama
The lost homeworld of the Saiyan race — conquered from the Tuffles, ruled by King Vegeta, and destroyed by Frieza in the genocide that scattered the survivors across the galaxy.
A warrior planet in every sense. The Saiyans conquered it from the Tuffles (a technologically advanced but physically weak race) and renamed it after their king. Life revolved around combat, conquest, and service to Frieza's galactic empire — Saiyans were sent to purge planets as children. The planet's destruction by Frieza's Supernova is the defining tragedy of the Saiyan race, witnessed only by Bardock, who flew alone against the blast. Only a handful of Saiyans survived: Goku, Vegeta, Nappa, Raditz, Broly, and Paragus.
A red-tinted planet with harsh, arid landscapes — rocky terrain under a dark crimson sky. Saiyan architecture is utilitarian and military: barracks, training grounds, launch pads for attack pods. The royal palace is the only building with any grandeur. Ten times Earth's gravity, which explains the Saiyans' natural strength.
