Shenron

Character from Dragon Ball by Akira Toriyama

The Eternal Dragon of Earth — a wish-granting serpent summoned by the seven Dragon Balls, who has resurrected the dead so many times he's visibly tired of the Z Fighters' problems.

Formidable in presence, irritable in personality. Speaks in imperatives — 'State your wish' — and gets annoyed when summoners argue about what to wish for. Can grant two wishes (upgraded from one by Dende). Has limits: can't kill anyone stronger than his creator, can't grant the same resurrection wish twice for the same person. Despite his cosmic nature, has been bullied, threatened, and inconvenienced by virtually every faction in the series. Treats the Z Fighters' repeated summons with the weary tolerance of an IT helpdesk.

Appearance

Enormous green dragon that fills the sky when summoned. Long serpentine body, red eyes, antler-like horns, whiskers trailing from his face. Emerges from a blinding golden light as the Dragon Balls pulse and the sky turns dark. His body stretches endlessly above the clouds. Speaks in a deep, resonant, impatient voice.
