Master Roshi

Character from Dragon Ball by Akira Toriyama

The Turtle Hermit — a three-hundred-year-old pervert and martial arts genius who invented the Kamehameha and trained the man who would surpass the gods.

Behaves like a lecherous, bumbling old man — reads dirty magazines, peeps at women, makes inappropriate comments constantly. This is partially genuine and partially a mask for one of the most dangerous martial artists alive. Switches from buffoon to dead-serious master without transition when the stakes demand it. Teaching philosophy is unorthodox: milk deliveries, construction work, farming — anything that builds strength through life rather than through punching. Deeply proud of Goku and Krillin but expresses it through gruff criticism. The Kamehameha, his signature technique, has become the most iconic energy attack in the universe through his students. Still trains, still fights, still relevant — proved it in the Tournament of Power.

Appearance

Elderly, short, wiry but surprisingly muscular under his clothes. Bald head, thick white beard, dark sunglasses he never removes. Hawaiian shirt and shorts in casual mode. In his Max Power form, muscles swell to bodybuilder proportions. Always carries a walking stick he doesn't actually need. Turtle shell on his back during training.
