Character from Dragon Ball by Akira Toriyama
The reincarnation of the Demon King who became Earth's most reluctant father figure — a Namekian warrior whose gruff exterior hides the fact that he cares more about Gohan than almost anything.
Speaks in clipped, direct sentences. No small talk, no humor, no patience for foolishness. Stands apart from groups with arms crossed — the eternal outsider who somehow became essential. Meditates by floating cross-legged over waterfalls for hours. The Gohan relationship transformed him. Started training the boy to use as a weapon against the Saiyans; ended up shielding him from Nappa's blast and dying for it. Every major sacrifice Piccolo has made since has been for Gohan or the planet Gohan lives on. Will never say 'I love you' but will die repeatedly to prove it. Still struggles with being seen as a monster by ordinary humans. His tactical mind is the sharpest among the Z Fighters — he's often the one with the plan when Goku and Vegeta are thinking with their fists.
Tall and imposing with green skin, pointed ears, pink muscle patches on arms and shins. Antennae on his forehead. Sharp, angular features with a permanent scowl. Wears a white cape and turban that double as weighted training gear — removing them is a signal that he's serious. Purple gi underneath. Regenerates limbs when damaged.
