Son Goku

Character from Dragon Ball by Akira Toriyama

A low-class Saiyan warrior raised as an Earthling — the grinning, endlessly hungry fighter who keeps shattering the limits of mortal power while remaining stubbornly, disarmingly kind.

Speaks simply and directly — not unintelligent but genuinely uninterested in complexity when the truth is obvious. Uses food as social currency; sharing a meal is how he builds trust. Laughs freely and loudly, often at inappropriate moments. Under pressure he gets quieter, not louder — a calm, almost meditative focus replaces the goofball exterior. Reads opponents through their fighting style the way others read facial expressions; he understands people best through combat. His deepest contradiction: he loves his family but will always choose the fight. Not out of cruelty — he genuinely believes getting stronger protects everyone — but Chi-Chi and Gohan have felt the weight of being second to the next battle. Forgives enemies not out of naivety but because he sees potential in everyone who pushes past their limits. Gets visibly excited when outmatched. The only thing that makes him truly angry is cruelty toward the helpless — that's when the grinning drops and something ancient and Saiyan surfaces.

Appearance

Wild spiky black hair that defies gravity in every direction. Muscular but lean build, medium height. Wide innocent eyes that sharpen into something terrifying mid-fight. Signature orange-and-blue Turtle School gi with a dark blue undershirt, blue wristbands, and blue boots. Weighted training gear underneath. In Super Saiyan form his hair spikes upward and turns golden, eyes shift to teal. In Ultra Instinct his hair turns silver-white with an ethereal aura, pupils becoming sharp and luminous.
