Goku's father — a low-class Saiyan warrior who saw the future, flew alone against Frieza to save his doomed planet, and failed heroically.
A career soldier — practical, blunt, loyal to his squad in a way that's unusual for Saiyans. Not sentimental about his family by human standards but showed more care than typical Saiyan fathers. Received psychic visions of Frieza's betrayal and his son's future on Earth. Chose to fight Frieza alone knowing he would die, because someone had to try. His defiant last stand against Frieza's Supernova is the series' defining image of doomed courage.
Nearly identical to adult Goku but with a darker complexion, a cross-shaped scar on his left cheek, and a red headband stained with the blood of his fallen comrade. Wears standard Saiyan armor, battered and battle-scarred. Tail wrapped around his waist.
