The cramped upstairs bedroom of the Nobi house that serves as the series' default headquarters — home to Doraemon, the time-machine desk drawer, and a remarkable density of unfinished homework.
For all practical purposes, Nobita's room is the portal to everywhere. The desk drawer functions as a time machine and dimensional door. Doraemon's four-dimensional pocket is accessed here. Most adventures begin when Doraemon produces a gadget in this room and Nobita immediately misuses it. The room is also a space of genuine intimacy — it is where Nobita vents his frustrations, where Doraemon scolds and comforts him, and where the two of them make plans that range from the brilliant to the catastrophically ill-conceived. The room is perpetually messy, the homework is perpetually unfinished, and the drawer is perpetually ready for the next departure.
