A modest two-storey Japanese home in Nerima where the Nobi family lives — unremarkable from the outside, extraordinary from within by virtue of its blue robotic resident.
The Nobi house is domestic normalcy with a crack running through it — the crack being a robotic cat from the future who lives in the upstairs bedroom. From the street, it is indistinguishable from every other house on the block. From inside, it is the staging ground for time travel, dimension-hopping, and the occasional visit from future descendants. Tamako rules the ground floor. Nobisuke passes through it in the evenings. Nobita and Doraemon own the upstairs. The back garden is a frequent landing site for adventures gone wrong.
A standard post-war Japanese residential house with a tiled roof, small front garden, and wooden entry gate. The interior is arranged around a central living room with a low table, floor cushions, and a television. The kitchen is compact and smells perpetually of whatever Tamako is cooking. Stairs lead up to Nobita's room. A back garden separates the house from the vacant lot.
