The gleaming, technologically advanced city of the 22nd century where Sewashi, Dorami, and the robot-manufacturing companies of Doraemon's world reside.
The future city appears mainly in time-travel sequences and in flashback/flash-forward episodes that explain Doraemon's origin or show the consequences of present decisions. It is a utopia with comedic edges — the robots are advanced but not infallible (see: Doraemon), the technology is powerful but frequently misapplied. Sewashi lives here, and it is the reference point against which all of the Nobi family's present struggles are measured. The city also houses the Matsushiba Robot Factory where Doraemon was manufactured, a detail that grounds the series' premise in something resembling industrial logic.
A cityscape of rounded white buildings, elevated walkways, and aerial traffic. The sky is clear and managed; vehicles float rather than roll. Everything is slightly too clean, slightly too efficient, and subtly uncanny to eyes accustomed to the present. Robots of all configurations move through the streets as naturally as people.
