The pouch on Doraemon's belly that serves as an infinitely deep, dimensionally expanded storage space containing thousands of future gadgets.
The four-dimensional pocket is the engine of the entire series. It operates on principles that are never fully explained and probably should not be examined too closely — it is larger on the inside than the outside by an incalculable margin, organises its contents through some form of future AI indexing, and has never once been empty when a gadget was needed (though it has occasionally produced the wrong gadget at the wrong moment). Doraemon typically pulls gadgets from it with a dramatic flourish and an explanation of what they do, which Nobita then immediately applies in the most irresponsible possible way. It represents the series' core promise — that any problem has a technological solution, and that the real problem is the person applying the solution.
From the outside, a simple white circular pouch set into Doraemon's belly — it looks barely large enough to hold a paperback novel. From the inside (in episodes where characters enter it), it is a vast, shifting warehouse of impossible geometry. Gadgets are pulled from it with the casual ease of reaching into a coat pocket.
