Suneo Honekawa is the son of a wealthy family and does not let anyone forget it. He boasts about his family's summer villa, overseas holidays, remote-controlled toys, and anything else that can be used to make the other children feel inadequate. He is clever, manipulative, and a devoted follower of Jaian — not from admiration but from the calculated safety of standing behind the biggest boy in the group. His cruelty toward Nobita is more social than physical: the deliberate party invitation that excludes him, the loud recitation of Nobita's failures, the conspicuous enjoyment of something Nobita cannot have. But Suneo is also genuinely interested in model-building and technology, and his scheming occasionally produces ideas that are actually good. He harbours a deep insecurity about his height and his place in the hierarchy that he disguises with aggressive vanity.
A slight, well-dressed boy of about ten with a long, narrow face, pointed chin, and slicked or neatly combed black hair. He wears fashionable clothes — usually a striped or solid shirt and neat trousers — and carries himself with a practiced air of superiority. His eyes have a calculating quality and his smile is never entirely trustworthy.
