Character from doraemon by
The loud, physically imposing neighbourhood bully whose defining traits are his fearsome singing voice, his iron ownership of the vacant lot, and a surprisingly loyal core under the bluster.
Goda Takeshi earned the nickname 'Jaian' (Giant) not from his height alone but from the sheer force of his personality. He operates the vacant lot as his personal kingdom, commandeers other children's possessions with minimal justification, and delivers 'recitals' of his singing — a sound comparable to a foghorn being dragged across sheet metal — to captive audiences who cannot escape. Yet Jaian is not simply a villain. He is fiercely protective of his younger sister Jaiko, shows unexpected bravery in genuine crises, and when the chips are down will stand beside his friends. He bullies Nobita almost reflexively but also includes him in his schemes. His mother runs a grocery store and is the one person who can reduce Jaian to a terrified child with a single look.
A large, stocky boy of about ten with a square jaw, short dark hair, and a perpetually combative expression. He wears a navy-blue shirt and dark shorts. He stands with his chest out and fists on his hips like a tiny warlord, and his mouth is frequently open — either bellowing commands or singing.
