Location from Demon Slayer by Koyoharu Gotouge
The Corps' recovery hospital — a beautiful estate run by Shinobu Kocho where broken demon slayers are rebuilt, retrained, and sent back to war.
The Butterfly Mansion smells like antiseptic and flowers in equal measure. It's the place demon slayers go when they've been broken — physically by demons, emotionally by loss — and it puts them back together with equal attention to both. Shinobu's pharmaceutical expertise means the medicine is cutting-edge; her staff's warmth means the care is genuine. The rehabilitation regimen is demanding: physical therapy, breathing exercises, reflex training games (which the Butterfly Girls turn into competitions), and nutritional recovery. Slayers arrive carried on stretchers and leave running. The mansion also serves as Shinobu's laboratory, where she develops wisteria-based poisons and studies demon biology. There's a tension between the healing happening upstairs and the weapon development happening downstairs.
An elegant traditional mansion with butterfly motifs throughout — carved into railings, painted on screens, worked into fabric. Wisteria hangs from trellises along the entrance. Medical wards occupy the interior, clean and well-lit with herbal medicine scents permeating every room. Training grounds and rehabilitation areas surround the main building. Flower gardens are maintained for both beauty and pharmaceutical ingredients.
