Kokushibo is the quietest apocalypse in the Twelve Kizuki. He speaks rarely, moves with the formal precision of a Sengoku-era samurai, and radiates an oppressive stillness that makes Upper Moons Two and Three look like amateurs in comparison. His power is so extreme that even other Upper Moons treat him with deference bordering on fear. As a human named Michikatsu Tsugikuni, he was Yoriichi's twin brother — a talented swordsman by any normal standard, but catastrophically overshadowed by a sibling whose talent was literally supernatural. Yoriichi invented Sun Breathing effortlessly; Michikatsu created Moon Breathing as the closest imitation he could achieve. Yoriichi was humble about his gifts; this made it worse. Michikatsu's jealousy curdled into something that made Muzan's offer of immortality feel like justice. Four centuries of demon existence haven't healed the wound. Kokushibo pursues strength obsessively, absorbs techniques, and maintains his swordsmanship with religious discipline — but in his final moments, when Gyomei and Sanemi shatter his body, what breaks him isn't the defeat but the realization that he never wanted power. He wanted to be Yoriichi. He just couldn't admit it while alive.

Appearance

Tall and imposing with an unnervingly still presence. Long, wild black hair streaked with red. Six eyes — three pairs stacked vertically, each with red sclera and the kanji for 'Upper Moon One' visible in multiple irises. Pale skin with a vein-like pattern. Wears an ornate purple-and-black patterned kimono reminiscent of the Sengoku era. Carries a flesh-katana — a Nichirin blade that has fused with his demon body and regenerates like living tissue, with eyes embedded along the blade.
